Arizona Girlchoir enthusiastically welcomes our new Artistic Director, Virginia Pond! Virginia joined us in January of this year, filling in with our elementary ensembles when their director went on maternity leave. Virginia brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our organization, and we are excited to see where she will lead us in the coming season! To add to our family atmosphere, her mother Jeanne Holt is one of our pianists, and her daughter sings in our youngest ensemble. Please join us in warmly welcoming Virginia Pond!
Topher and Emily Keene, our former Artistic and Associate Artistic Directors, are stepping away from the choir to focus on their new family, and we wish them all the best. We’re so grateful for the three years we had with them, especially for all the extra hours worked and the new skills learned and the amazingly creative leadership that kept us going through the recent interesting challenges of keeping a group of singers together and productive! We wave a fond farewell and wish them the very best of luck in this new chapter in their lives!
As we step away to focus on our family, we wish new Artistic Director Virginia Pond and her staff ALL the best! We can’t wait to hear the beautiful music our singers will make this season. Thank you all for three amazing years! ~ Topher and Emily Keene
