Teach and conduct necessary extra rehearsals before concerts on Monday evenings, approximately 3 hours.
Attend and teach summer camp where singers begin to learn the season’s music.
Recruit and audition new singers.
Work with teaching staff to evaluate singers’ readiness for advancement; audition candidates.
Scout and secure venues as needed.
Help coordinate summer tour.
Choreograph songs as needed, or work with choreographer.
Supervise music education program.
Attend monthly board meetings.
Job responsibilities will average approximately 10 hours per week during the season, with more hours near concerts and significantly fewer or no hours during summer (excepting tour, summer camp, and possible recruitment activities).
